Turner Florida Insurance opened its doors in Merritt Island in 1978. From the beginning, the agency was built around a simple idea: insurance should be personal. Customers deserve an agent who knows their name, understands their situation, and works on their behalf — not on behalf of a single insurance company.
Over the decades, that philosophy earned the trust of Florida families and businesses across Brevard County. We added a second location in Rockledge, deepened our carrier relationships, and grew our team. In 2022, Merritt Island Now readers voted us Best Insurance Agency — a recognition we've held every year since.
Brevard County is where we come from. It's where our offices are. It's where many of our team members live and raise their families. That connection doesn't go away as we grow — it's the foundation everything else is built on.
Bringing Independent Agency Choice to Underserved Markets
As Turner Florida Insurance grew, we began to see a pattern: there are communities across the country where consumers have limited access to independent insurance guidance. Markets where the independent-agency model — the kind that puts the customer first and shops multiple carriers — isn't as well represented as it should be.
That's the opportunity we're pursuing. Not to replace what's already working in those markets, but to bring additional choice, stronger personal service, and broader carrier access to customers who deserve it.

The Organization Expanding Beyond Florida
Turner Insurance is the broader organization carrying the Turner independent-agency model into new states. It represents the same ownership, the same values, and the same commitment to personal service — applied to markets outside Florida.
Today, Turner Insurance has expanded into North Carolina and South Carolina, bringing independent insurance choice to customers in those markets. This is the beginning of a deliberate, measured expansion — not a rapid national rollout, but a thoughtful growth into communities where the Turner approach can make a real difference.

As the Turner organization grows into additional states, the name Turner Florida Insurance will eventually evolve into Turner Insurance. A name that reflects where we are today — and where we're headed.
This isn't a sale. It isn't an acquisition. It isn't a goodbye to Florida or to the community that built this agency. It's an evolution — the natural next step for an organization that has outgrown a geographically specific name.
Over time, Turner Florida Insurance will transition to the Turner Insurance name as our organization grows. When that happens, the people, the relationships, the service philosophy, and the Florida roots all continue forward. The name changes. The commitment doesn't.

We want to be clear about where we are right now: Turner Insurance currently operates in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. We are not a national agency today. We are a growing regional organization with a national ambition.
Each new market we enter will be approached the same way we approached Brevard County in 1978 — with local relationships, genuine service, and a long-term commitment to the community. Growth for its own sake has not been the Turner way; serving customers has guided that growth.
